MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development, the master developer of “Mostakbal City” and “Mada” in New Cairo, has officially contracted with Sporting for Investment and Sports Facilities—owned by the prestigious Alexandria Sporting Club—to manage, operate, and market the first integrated social and sports club in Mostakbal City’s third phase. Spanning an impressive 42 acres, the project represents a massive investment exceeding EGP 3 billion. The signing ceremony was held at MIDAR’s headquarters, attended by Eng. Ayman El-Koussy, CEO of MIDAR, Mr. Ahmed Sakr, Chairman of Sporting for Investment, and Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Chairman of Alexandria Sporting Club.
The development is set to be executed in three strategic phases, with the first phase scheduled to open its doors in the first half of 2027. This initial stage will offer a wide array of athletic and social activities to residents of MIDAR’s cities and the surrounding New Cairo areas. Ahead of the grand opening, the club plans to launch exclusive early-bird registration offers and open membership applications by late 2026, featuring special incentives and privileges specifically tailored for the residents of MIDAR’s urban developments.
Under the contractual agreement, Sporting will oversee the athletic, social, and cultural management of the club on behalf of MIDAR, ensuring all operations align with the regulations of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The project boasts a world-class design meeting international standards for sports infrastructure. Upon the completion of Phase 1, the club will feature professional courts for handball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and five-a-side football, alongside state-of-the-art gyms, expansive green spaces, a comprehensive food court, and dedicated children’s play areas.
Eng. Ayman El-Koussy, CEO of MIDAR, highlighted that the project is a strategic pillar in enhancing the city’s infrastructure, reinforcing MIDAR’s commitment to providing an integrated lifestyle that merges sports, culture, and entertainment. He noted that the project’s scale and diversity of activities will solidify Mostakbal City’s status as a premier residential and athletic hub in Egypt. Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Ahmed Hassan, Chairman of Alexandria Sporting Club, emphasized that the partnership aims to replicate the club’s historic success in Alexandria and establish a new landmark destination for sports excellence in New Cairo.
