El-Gabry noted that education is the root of any nation’s renaissance, and no country can advance without comprehensive development of its education system. This makes amending legislation supporting the development of public education and focusing on increasing its budget by a fair percentage that enables schools to provide respectable educational services an urgent necessity.
He added that he seeks to expand the establishment of official and experimental public schools within the Haram District to alleviate overcrowding in classrooms by working with the Educational Buildings Authority. He also supports amending the Teachers’ Law to improve salaries and incentives, ensuring a decent standard of living and restoring teachers’ prestige. He also seeks to encourage technical education and link it to the local labor market in Giza, in cooperation with the private sector to train and qualify young people for real jobs.
He emphasized the importance of developing the digital infrastructure for education and providing support to low-income families to enable their children to access e-learning. He also emphasized combating the phenomenon of private tutoring by improving the school environment and encouraging formal tutoring groups at nominal prices and high quality.
Because young people are the driving force behind the development of nations, Captain Ahmed El-Gabry emphasized that he is paying great attention to the youth issue, especially since Egyptian society is a young society, and the Egyptian state is currently focusing on its youth, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, which is well aware of the importance of supporting youth.
