Egyptian Swiss Group Eyes European Expansion Through SIAL Paris 2026

Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling and Concentrates is seeking to strengthen its exports to European markets, establish new business relationships with major international importers, distributors and retail chains, and expand into new markets worldwide through its participation in SIAL Paris 2026, taking place from October 17 to 21.

Eng. Ahmed El Sebaie, General Manager of Egyptian Swiss Group, said the company’s participation in SIAL Paris 2026 is part of its strategy to expand its international footprint, strengthen relationships with existing customers and attract new business partners, building on a customer base spanning approximately 60 countries.

El Sebaie explained that the exhibition, one of the world’s leading international food industry events, provides a valuable platform for direct engagement with major food importers, purchasing executives, and representatives of global retail and distribution chains, creating opportunities to explore new business partnerships and boost exports.

European Markets Top Expansion Priorities

El Sebaei emphasized that European Union markets are among the Group’s top priorities for the coming period, noting that participation in international trade exhibitions offers valuable insights into market requirements, food product specifications and regulatory standards, as well as evolving consumer trends and competitive dynamics.

He added that Egyptian Swiss Group aims to leverage its presence at SIAL Paris to showcase its products, strengthen its competitive position and establish long-term commercial partnerships that support its expansion plans across European and other international markets.

More Than 137 Egyptian Companies Participate in SIAL Paris

El Sebaie highlighted the strong turnout of visitors and international buyers at the Egyptian pavilion, amid broad participation from food manufacturers, importers and representatives of major global retail and distribution networks.

He praised the strong Egyptian presence at the exhibition, with 107 companies participating in the official national pavilion, organized by the Food Export Council in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences, alongside more than 30 Egyptian companies exhibiting independently.

El Sebaie stressed that effective coordination between the Food Export Council and participating companies plays a key role in maximizing the benefits of international exhibitions, promoting Egyptian food products, increasing exports and facilitating entry into new markets.

He noted that these efforts extend beyond trade exhibitions to include the commercial missions organized by the Council to priority export destinations, helping Egyptian companies establish direct connections with potential buyers and expand their international reach.

El Sebaie said the strong interest in the Egyptian pavilion reflects growing attention from international buyers toward Egyptian food products. He added that the broad participation of Egyptian companies creates opportunities to increase the visibility of Egyptian products, establish connections with new distribution networks and diversify export destinations.

He also revealed that Egyptian Swiss Group is currently holding meetings with importers, distributors and business partners throughout the exhibition to explore new opportunities and strengthen existing commercial relationships, with the aim of increasing exports to its target markets.

El Sebaie reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to building sustainable, long-term partnerships with leading food importers worldwide, supporting its strategy to expand its global presence and strengthen its position in international food markets.
