The Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Alameda Healthcare Group to operate and manage the first and largest hospital in the New Administrative Capital

The global alliance includes Alameda Healthcare Group, China State Construction Engineering Corporation “C.S.C.E.C” and Al-Hazeq Construction Company, in addition to, a leading group of global experts in engineering and architectural consultancy specialized in the medical field

 In line Egypt vision 2030, which reflects the state’s long-term strategic plan to create sustainable societies in partnership with leading economic, technical and scientific entities and development partners. Today, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a global alliance that includes Alameda Healthcare Group, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation “C.S.C.E.C” and Al-Hazeq Construction Company, to establish, manage and operate the first and largest hospital in the New Administrative Capital.

According to this public–private partnership, Alameda will operate a new hospital for 49 renewable years, while the facility will be owned by the ministry, represented by NUCA and constructed by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation “C.S.C.E.C” and Al-Hazeq Construction Company.

The alliance responsible for the establishment, construction and management of the hospital will collaborate with global consultants in the field of engineering and architectural consultancy specialized in the medical field, such as the global office “HKS”. In addition to, a global partner to contribute in setting international medical standards and management.

Moreover, the ministry will provide a land plot of 7 feddan located near the CBD New Capital Towers in the New Administrative Capital’s Business District. Alameda will begin running the facility upon the completion of the hospital’s construction phase after 36 months from the agreement signing date. Alameda will invest 1 billion Egyptian pounds for equipping the hospital with the cutting edge and most advanced medical technology and equipment. 

In July 2021, the Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities welcomed Alameda’s proposal to establish a top-notch facility in partnership with NUCA. Today, this MOU reflects the ministry’s robust efforts to provide the new administrative capital with all integrated services according to international standards.

The facility will add to Alameda’s network 300 beds, which will include 100 ICU beds and 200 single rooms, 10 operating theaters, robotics surgery, 2 Cath labs,  2 linear accelerator machines, comprehensive oncology program. Moreover, the group will direct robust investments towards establishing world-class “Centers of Excellences” to provide integrated medical services in different specialties including; Cardiac Sciences, Neurosciences, Renal Sciences, GIT & Liver Diseases, Respiratory Diseases, Orthopaedics & Spine  and Organ Transplantation. 

Alameda shall collaborate with an International Healthcare Chain from US or Europe to bring world-class clinical pathways, techniques and clinical bandwidth along with brand positioning. This hospital shall also have a training centre to enhance the skills of young physicians and nurses.

Moreover, in alignment with the continuous pandemic waves and its new emerging variants, the hospital will have an isolation unit to assist the country in combating pandemic waves.

This MoU comes as an extension of the state’s plans to establish the new administrative capital of Egypt and provide all major services at the highest global standards. The most essential of these services is the provision of exceptional healthcare services, which will aid in positioning Egypt at the forefront of the healthcare field in the MEA region.
