Hassan Allam Properties in collab with STAMINA Sports & Fitness brings IRONMAN 70.3 to Sahl Hasheesh

2,000 athletes from around the world to compete in the globally acclaimed IRONMAN 70.3, by the golden beaches of the Red Sea by Sahl Hasheesh

The Hurghada Governorate has been chosen to host unprecedentedly  the IRONMAN Race under the auspices of the Ministry of Youths and Sports. Hassan Allam Properties is the main title sponsor for the mega event that’s brought by STAMINA Sports and Fitness and is taking place on 19 November.

 

The venue is ready to welcome more than 2,000 athletes of all nationalities, to contend in IRONMAN 70.3 games. The games are comprised of a 1.9 km swimming course, a 21.1 km running half marathon and a 90 km bicycle ride which all take place in the midst of Sahl Hasheesh captivating scenery.

 

The event formally commenced on the 17th of November with a press conference announcing the competition’s details, which was attended by all the organizing entities and stakeholders presided over by representatives of the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Transportation and Tourism.

 

On the second day, with participants arriving on scene, an orientation will kick off for all attendees to further explain the course and introduce the competitors to the transition stations on the route, as well as to ascertain the safety and functionality of the gears and equipment that will be used in the competition.

 

In the evening, the official opening ceremony will take place adorned by the Parade of Nations as the competition will begin on the third day at dawn. The competition will commence with the swimming race, followed by running, and finally,  cycling will end the race followed by the award ceremony where the podium will welcome Egypt’s first IRONMAN 70.3 title holder.

This year’s edition of IRONMAN 70.3 will see 30 athletes qualify for IRONMAN’s World Championship that is scheduled to take place on the 10th and 11th of December in Tapu, New Zealand.
