Al Babtain Group, developer of the renowned Royal City Compound, and Savills, one of the leading property consultants have signed an exclusive leasing and property management agreement for Al Babtain’s first commercial project, Royal Park.

Royal Park Mall, which has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 22,000 SQM, is annexed to Royal City compound in the centre of Sheikh Zayed, overlooking the 26th of July Axis providing amazing connectivity to the city. The site features two open air plazas of 15,000 SQM and will host more than one hundred retail offerings and five major anchors including Chuck E Cheese, who are opening their first branch in Egypt, and Padel Pod.

Al Babtain Group Egypt’s Executive Director, Zeyad El Beshry commented: “This project comes after the huge success achieved by the Kuwaiti Group in Egypt in Royal City Compound, which has been one of Sheikh Zayed’s most prominent landmarks. The development of the real estate sector in Egypt has also encouraged us to invest this success through our partnership with Savills Egypt, which has distinguished itself in the field of real estate consultancy in recent years. We are looking into growing this partnership with Savills to manage the Royal Park Mall, offering West Cairo communities an urban mixed-use entertainment space that gives them the opportunity to unwind from daily life and discover new experiences.

Head of Savills Egypt, Catesby Langer-Paget also commented: “We are honored to have been trusted by Kuwait headquartered Al Babtain Group to manage their first commercial project in Egypt. The mall is set in a prime location and is set to become a major landmark for family entertainment and shopping in West Cairo. The initial interest from retailers has been incredibly strong, evidenced by the early leasing of almost all of the main anchor units”.

The Royal Park Mall is set to fully operate from the beginning of Q4 2022 as a one-stop-shop fulfilling the daily needs of the whole family as well as offering unique evening and weekend entertainment destinations. The mall is extremely accessible and will serve both the Royal City Compound and West Cairo residents.
